Our mission
YSD Ghana - Youth in Skills and Development Ghana - empowers young people and underserved communities through practical skills training in sewing, hairdressing, weaving, mechanics, and farming, alongside entrepreneurship support, STEM education, mentorship, and leadership development. Our goal is simple: to help youth become self-reliant, create sustainable livelihoods, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Over 5,000 young people have been trained through our programs.
Our impact

Over 5,000 youth have been trained through practical, hands-on programs in sewing and fashion, hairdressing and beauty, weaving and traditional textiles, mechanics, and farming - plus entrepreneurship support to help them turn these skills into income, start businesses, and support their families.
Sewing & Fashion
Equipping young women and men with the skills to design, cut, and sew, fostering fashion entrepreneurship.
Hairdressing & Beauty
Teaching practical salon skills - braiding, styling, and hair care - one of the fastest routes to self-employment for young people.
Weaving & Textiles
Preserving Ghana's proud textile traditions while creating real income through hands-on weaving training.

About YSDGHANA
YSD Ghana works directly with young people and underserved communities across Ghana, offering hands-on training in sewing, hairdressing, weaving, mechanics, and farming. Alongside vocational skills and entrepreneurship support, we provide mentorship and leadership development so trainees can build sustainable livelihoods and give back to their communities.
