Transforming lives through skills

Our impact in action

At YSDGHANA, we believe in practical impact. Our vocational training programs create real, measurable change, empowering young people to gain skills, earn income, and build independent lives. This isn't just theory; it's practical transformation happening on the ground, every day.

Vocational skills

Hands-on training in sewing, hairdressing, weaving, mechanics, and farming equips youth with immediate income-generating abilities.

Entrepreneurship

We provide the knowledge and support for young people to transition from skill acquisition to building sustainable small businesses.

Sustainable livelihoods

Our programs foster independence, confidence, and a clear path forward, leading to long-term success and community contribution.

Our most impactful programs

We are incredibly proud of our hands-on vocational programs that create immediate, real-life impact. These are skills young people can start using right away to earn income, even with limited resources.

Sewing & hairdressing

These programs have made a particularly strong difference, especially for young women, many of whom have gone on to start small businesses or apprenticeships. They don't just teach skills—they give independence, confidence, and a clear path forward.

Farming & agribusiness

Our farming program is growing in impact, helping participants not only produce food but understand agribusiness as a sustainable income path. Young people trained in mechanics have moved into apprenticeships, while others in farming are now producing and selling crops within their communities.

Inspiring success stories

One story that always stands out is a young woman who joined our sewing program with no prior skills and no clear source of income. Through consistent training and mentorship, she developed strong tailoring skills and eventually started taking small orders from her community. Over time, she grew her work into a small shop and began training other young girls, creating income not just for herself but for others as well.

Our vision for the future

We plan to expand into more structured and scalable programs that go beyond basic vocational training. This includes advanced agribusiness training, digital skills such as basic IT and online marketing, and small-scale manufacturing tied to local resources.

Advanced training

Expanding into advanced agribusiness, digital skills (IT, online marketing), and small-scale manufacturing using local resources like shea butter.

Mentorship & support

Introducing mentorship programs, startup support, and access to micro-funding to help participants build sustainable businesses.

Job creation

Equipping young people with both practical skills and the support needed to grow, compete in larger markets, and create jobs for others.
